Access to finance study – Zambia
The objective of this technical assistance assignment is to contribute to improving access to agricultural financing in Zambia in support of inclusive value chain development.
The specific objective of this assignment is to inform the design of the joint European Union/European Investment Bank blending operation aiming at supporting the sustainable commercialization of Zambia’s smallholder farmers towards increased productivity, incomes, commercial viability and prospects for employment generation

General
At least 6 years of professional experience with private sector or agribusinesses engagement in rural areas in Africa. Similar experience in Zambia will be an asset.
Specific
At least 6 years of professional experience with agricultural value chain development, primary production and private and public sector agri-businesses development
Demonstrated 6 years of experience in the identification, formulation and/or implementation of private sector / value chain / agri-food investment Similar experience with a development agenda and a clear focus on social inclusiveness and poverty alleviation will be an asset
Experience in IFI/donor funded Technical Assistance projects in Eastern/Southern Africa including in Zambia will be an asset
