Access to finance study – Zambia
The objective of this technical assistance assignment is to contribute to improving access to agricultural financing in Zambia in support of inclusive value chain development.
The specific objective of this assignment is to inform the design of the joint European Union/European Investment Bank blending operation aiming at supporting the sustainable commercialization of Zambia’s smallholder farmers towards increased productivity, incomes, commercial viability and prospects for employment generation

General
At least 6 years of experience in the sector(s) related to the assignment;
Demonstrated minimum 6 years of working experience in the financial/banking sector
Specific
Demonstrated minimum 6 year working experience in financial sector (bank and/or micro-finance) engagement with smallholder and/or commercial agri-food businesses
Demonstrated 6 year of experience in the design, implementation and/or evaluation of innovative financing mechanisms/schemes including blending operations
Demonstrated minimum 2 years of working experience with the European Investment Bank in relation with private sector lending will be an asset
Proven working experience of a minimum of 5 years in Africa. Similar experience in Zambia will be an asset
