The objective is to gain an understanding of how Official Development Assistance (ODA) approaches and instruments have affected South Africa since 2000 and what the future might look like.

Required Qualifications
A high level of computer literacy and high level English proficiency (speaking, writing and presentation skills)
Required Experience
General
The Category I Expert should have at least 10 years of experience in development economics or development finance or social sciences.
Specific
Experience in the global debates on development cooperation, financing for development and the changing nature of ODA, and new forms of cooperation (dialogue, blending, etc);
Experience of at least 5 years in donor funded programme implementation in ODA;
Experience in public sector procedures, public finance management or performance monitoring and evaluation systems, will be an advantage;
Experience in working in South Africa, will be an advantage.
